Job summary

Standard Chartered Singapore is seeking a lead developer to drive a globally distributed engineering team focused on the bank’s Digital Channels platform. You will own the technical delivery, steer the design of complex features, and work with engineers, business analysts, project managers and stakeholders across multiple locations.

The role requires 10+ years in full stack development with deep frontend or backend expertise, strong coding standards, and experience in agile environments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in full stack engineering with deep expertise in frontend or backend and hands-on in the other.
• Strong software design principles and robust test suites.
• Proficient in React, Redux, RX JS, NPM/Yarn, webpack, CSS, HTML.
• Expert in Java and Spring Boot; reactive programming a plus.
• Experience leading a team in an Agile environment.
• Proven ability to deliver complex, latency-sensitive financial market applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead a globally distributed team and drive platform roadmap.
• Own technical delivery and ensure alignment with roadmaps.
• Oversee design quality and stream performance for the stream of developers.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, PMs, and stakeholders across locations.
• Drive technical design and delivery processes and team improvements.
