Job summary

Sembcorp Industries Ltd. is recruiting a Manager, Group HSSE to drive governance and second-line assurance for health, safety and environment across regions. Based in Singapore with a global remit, the role focuses on AI-enabled safety tools, risk-based audits and CAPA closure.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 10–15 years HSSE experience, with strong regulatory liaison and multi-country exposure. Travel is required as business needs dictate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Risk Management or related field; NEBOSH/IOSH qualifications preferred.
• 10–15 years HSSE experience in energy/renewables, EPC, or industrial operations; multi-country exposure advantageous.
• Proven liaison with Singapore regulators—MOM/WSH Inspectorate; audits/inspections and closure.
• Experience implementing Group HSSE standards across diverse sites and cultures.
• Strong incident investigation, risk assessment, contractor management and assurance skills.
• Awareness of AI/data-driven HSSE tools; translate use-cases into outcomes with Digital partners.
• Excellent communication, influence and facilitation; comfortable engaging senior leaders and regulators.

Responsibilities

• HSSE assurance, governance and GSMS across Singapore and overseas assets.
• Plan, lead and execute GSMS audits and maturity assessments; verify alignment with policies.
• Assess GSMS implementation consistency across assets, geographies and industries.
• Review governance, roles and HSSE leadership accountabilities; deliver management reviews.
• Ensure timely closure of audit actions with clear ownership.
• Operate L2 assurance; lead risk-based audits and inspections; track findings and CAPA.
• Champion data, analytics and AI-enabled safety; oversee HSSE performance data integrity.
• Provide independent challenge on risk assessments and critical controls; promote CAPA.
