Job summary

SD Legal (for a global media platform client) in Singapore seeks a General Counsel to oversee strategic legal advice for the APAC region, manage a small team, and handle complex commercial and regulatory matters.

The role requires 15+ years PQE, a background in Tier 1 firms and in-house, and deep TMT experience with media industry exposure. You will partner with the C-suite across product, sales, and marketing to drive risk-aware growth.

Qualifications

• 15+ years PQE in commercial law.
• Experience in Tier 1 law firms and in-house teams.
• Strong TMT expertise with media sector exposure.
• Proficient in commercial negotiations, JVs and fundraising, cross-functional support.

Responsibilities

• Lead global commercial deal negotiations, including partnerships and sponsorships.
• Advise C-Suite on strategy and legal risks for short and long term planning.
• Oversee cross-border regulatory challenges with in-country counsel and vendors.
• Provide real-time legal support to product, sales and marketing teams.
• Mentor a small legal team and manage workload.
