Job summary

Global consumer technology and digital commerce group is seeking an experienced Assistant General Counsel to lead APAC matters and partner with senior stakeholders across the region. The role demands strategic legal advice, regulatory insight and commercial pragmatism in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of post-qualification experience.
• Experience gained in both private practice and an in-house legal team.
• Strong regional legal and regulatory experience.
• Commercial, solutions-oriented and comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment.
• Experience in e-commerce, technology or digital platforms would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Advise on legal and regulatory matters affecting APAC operations
• Monitor regulatory developments and translate them into practical business guidance
• Manage cross-border disputes, regulatory enquiries and significant litigation
• Support new business initiatives, products and services
• Oversee corporate secretarial matters and regulatory filings
• Conduct legal and compliance training
• Manage external counsel relationships and legal budgets
