Job summary

Good Job Creations (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Freight Operations Coordinator to manage and optimize shipments across sea, air and land. You will negotiate rates, monitor shipments, and ensure compliance with Incoterms 2020 while coordinating with internal teams and external partners.

The role requires 5–8 years in logistics operations, familiarity with marine cargo insurance, and proficiency in MS Office. Occasional overseas travel may be required and SAP knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in freight operations, logistics coordination, supply chain, or trade operations.
• Working knowledge of marine cargo insurance and claims handling.
• Familiarity with Incoterms 2020.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with SAP HANA or SAP Business One is an added advantage.
• Ability to travel occasionally for overseas business trips.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate shipments with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and carriers across sea, air, and land transportation modes.
• Negotiate freight rates and service agreements while benchmarking market pricing to maintain cost competitiveness.
• Monitor shipments from origin to destination and resolve delays, discrepancies, or operational issues promptly.
• Lead carrier selection activities by evaluating cost, transit time, reliability, and compliance standards.
• Maintain and periodically review the approved carrier database to support operational excellence.
• Ensure compliance with trade regulations, customs requirements, and Incoterms 2020.
• Coordinate investigations and resolution of cargo insurance claims with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
• Act as the primary operational contact for internal sales affiliates, managing order processing and fulfilment activities.
• Monitor sales orders and purchase orders, identify demand trends, and elevate potential supply constraints.
• Maintain accurate operational records and prepare reports on order status, shipment progress, and outstanding issues.
• Collaborate with affiliates to resolve purchase order discrepancies and ensure timely order fulfilment.
• Perform additional duties and projects assigned by management.
