Airbnb is seeking a Staff Experience Designer supporting international expansion. You will partner with country managers, localization experts, researchers, product specialists, engineers, and data scientists to craft beautiful, usable products that empower people.

Our charter emphasizes inclusive design, usability, and accessibility across host and guest experiences, with a focus on localizing global products for APAC and other markets.

Qualifications

• Designer/Design Leader with 10+ years of experience.
• Independently set design directions and mentor teams.
• Strategic leader guiding ambiguity and global strategy.
• Systems-oriented thinker for online and offline experiences.
• Exceptional craftsmanship in interaction and visual design.
• Strong analytical skills with user insights to milestones.
• Storytelling, presentation and stakeholder management.
• End-to-end product development or major redesign experience.
• Understanding tech, business goals and user needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of multiple international initiatives and set the vision for the holistic user experience.
• Shape evolution of Airbnb platform through international lenses and align with brand/product architecture.
• Partner with Country Managers, Product Managers, Engineers, Data Scientists, Researchers, Localization Managers and Writers.
• Influence leadership with clear storytelling and help teams navigate ambiguity.
• Scope projects with PMs and engineers and define design process, tasks, timeline.
• Provide mentorship for peer designers and evangelize design thinking.
