Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in design leadership or as a senior IC.
• Ability to independently formulate design directions and lead teams.
• Strategic thinker able to guide global product design and roadmap.
• Systems-oriented mindset spanning digital and offline experiences.
• Exceptional craftsmanship in interaction and visual design.
• Strong analytical and empathetic skills translating insights into design milestones.
• Excellent storytelling, presentation and stakeholder management.
• Experience in end-to-end product development or major redesigns.
• Understanding of tech constraints, business goals, and user needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of multiple international initiatives and define the design strategy and vision.
• Shape evolution of the Airbnb platform through international perspectives and brand/product architecture.
• Partner with Country Managers, PMs, Engineers, Data Scientists, Researchers, Localization Managers and Writers.
• Influence leadership decisions with clear storytelling and vision; navigate ambiguity for a global audience.
• Scope projects with PMs and engineers; define process, tasks, and timelines.
• Provide mentorship and evangelize design thinking across functions.
