Job summary

Cobelfret is seeking a Head of Operations for the Singapore operations to lead the Operations department, ensure safe and compliant voyage execution, and drive commercial efficiency across the fleet. The role combines operational leadership, team development and strategic contribution to profitability and risk management.

Qualifications

• 10–12 years in dry bulk vessel operations with senior (people) management exposure.
• Strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage complex operations across multiple vessels, time zones and stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks and environmental compliance.
• Proficiency in IMOS; experience with NAPA, Shipfix and DA Desk is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Singapore Operations team with clear direction and technical support.
• Oversee post-fixture operations and voyage execution for the fleet, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
• Drive voyage profitability, risk management and claims prevention.
• Collaborate with commercial and finance to optimise routing, bunkering and costs.
• Champion continuous improvement and adoption of new technologies and processes.
