Job summary

Nityo Infotech is seeking a senior Database Platform Architect in Singapore to lead a multi-year modernization and cloud migration effort. You will own the roadmap for the global database estate, align with business goals, and drive cost optimisation, latency SLAs, and AI/ML readiness.

The role requires deep expertise across Oracle, MSSQL and PostgreSQL, plus experience with CockroachDB, Cassandra and MongoDB.

Qualifications

18+ years in IT with extensive database platform experience.
Experience leading database modernization programs.
Hands-on with Oracle, MSSQL and PostgreSQL; exposure to cloud databases.
Public cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Strong scripting in Python, Ansible, SQL, Shell.

Responsibilities

Own and drive a multi-year strategic roadmap for the database platform, including cloud migration and cost optimisation.
Define the multi-year technical vision for the global database estate.
Architect across Oracle, MSSQL and PostgreSQL, with knowledge of CockroachDB, Cassandra, MongoDB.
Drive adoption of cloud-native patterns for database services on AWS or equivalent.
Drive AI/ML readiness, AIOps, observability and reliability.
Build secure self-service capabilities via UI- and API-based solutions.
Automate operational tasks with Python, Ansible or PowerShell.
Embed DBRE and Agile practices in day-to-day delivery.
Enforce security compliance and vulnerability patching across database components.
Lead a global team of database engineers and managers.
Balance project delivery with operational stability.
