Job summary

Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore seeks a Senior leader to head Core Engineering for Public Cloud, reporting to the Global Head of Cloud Infrastructure. You will drive performance, reliability, automation, and day-2 operations across the cloud platform.

You will design enterprise-grade landing zones for AWS and Azure, manage AWS/Azure relationships, and set platform standards to enable secure, self-service cloud consumption globally.

Qualifications

• Deep experience with enterprise-scale multi-account AWS and multi-subscription Azure operating models.
• Strong understanding of reference architectures, landing zones, control planes, and cloud-native design principles.
• Ability to define cloud engineering standards aligned to AWS Well-Architected and Azure frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Build, operate, and improve global public cloud platforms for secure, standardized, self-service consumption.
• Own day 2 operations and automation to reduce dependencies on Cloud Operations.
• Drive adoption of platform engineering practices to improve developer productivity and deployment velocity.
• Manage relationships with AWS and Azure, and define cloud management processes.
• Establish reusable platform services, guardrails, and reference architectures.
