Job summary

Standard Chartered Bank seeks a Global Head of AI Risk & Governance to lead enterprise AI governance, risk management and controls. This role operates across Singapore and Hong Kong with senior oversight of AI strategy and regulatory compliance.

You will shape decision pathways, promote ethical AI use, and drive a risk-aware culture across risk, compliance, legal, cybersecurity, data and audit functions.

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership in AI risk, governance and control frameworks.
• Experience shaping enterprise AI risk across multi-jurisdictional banks.
• Proven ability to interact with boards and senior executives on risk.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance implications for AI.
• Deep knowledge of data privacy, security controls and model risk.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive enterprise-wide AI risk governance strategies.
• Lead the development of AI-specific governance standards and controls.
• Oversee risk oversight, audit, and regulatory reporting for AI initiatives.
• Build and mentor a global team of AI governance specialists.
• Partner with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Cybersecurity and Audit to ensure alignment.
