Job summary

GIC is seeking a Senior Vice President of Threat Operations to lead the Global Security Operations Center and advance cyber defense across regions. You will drive an AI-native operations model, coordinate rapid responses, and partner with technology providers to strengthen the security platform.

With 12+ years in cybersecurity, including 7+ years leading global teams, you will shape strategies, governance, and analytics while mentoring leaders and ensuring regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science or equivalent.
• 12+ years of relevant experience, with 7+ years in leading and managing a global cybersecurity function.
• Professional qualification such as SANS, CISSP / CISM / CEH will be advantageous.
• 7–9 years of management experience in cybersecurity functions is preferred.
• Broad-based experience across multiple cyber security areas: offensive security, threat intelligence, security operations management, endpoint and cloud security.
• Experience with AI in cybersecurity operations and cloud security technologies.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the global SOC vision, aligning cybersecurity operations with enterprise risk strategy, regulatory expectations, and business priorities.
• Lead the transition to an AI-native, adaptive cybersecurity operations model using automation, ML, and analytics.
• Orchestrate follow-the-sun operations across regions for seamless coordination and rapid response.
• Oversee management of critical cybersecurity events and incidents, reporting to executive teams.
• Partner with security technology providers to evolve the global security operations platform.
• Establish governance, optimize processes, and ensure comprehensive SOC documentation.
• Develop SOC metrics and analytics to drive strategic decisions and improvements.
• Mentor future leaders and promote diversity of thought and global expertise.
• Collaborate with technology, risk, compliance, and business leadership to embed cybersecurity into key practices.
• Stay ahead of global trends, regulatory developments, and innovations in security investments.
• Serve as SME in network, application, and enterprise security and in incident response and threat management.
• Champion operational resilience, data integrity, and stakeholder confidence across digital channels and platforms.
• Act as key contact for audit matters.
• Develop and manage security operations standards or policies.
