Job summary

AECOM in Singapore seeks a Geotechnical Lead to steer the design and execution of coastal and reclamation projects. You will develop investigation programs, coordinate with clients and regulators, and supervise junior staff.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years in geotechnical engineering, a PE license or equivalent, and proficiency in PLAXIS, GeoStudio, AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Excellent leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• : Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
• : PE license or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
• : Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a focus on design and project management.
• : Proven track record of delivering large-scale reclamation or coastal infrastructure projects.
• : Proficiency in engineering software such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools.
• : Strong knowledge of ground improvement methods, construction materials, methods, and industry best practices.
• : Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
• : Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• : Strong analytical and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• - Lead the geotechnical design and execution of civil engineering projects, including land reclamation, coastal engineering, shoreline protection, seawalls and related infrastructure.
• - Develop and review geotechnical investigation programs, site characterization, and laboratory testing
• - Coordinate with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies, to align project goals.
• - Prepare and review engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.
• - Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and risk assessments.
• - Ensure compliance with local and international engineering standards, codes, and regulations.
• - Supervise and mentor junior engineers, technicians, and other team members.
• - Provide technical guidance and resolve complex engineering challenges.
• - Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• - Oversee construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
• - Conduct regular site visits, inspections, and audits.
• - Identify and resolve construction issues promptly.
• - Integrate sustainable practices and innovative solutions into project designs.
• - Evaluate the environmental impact of projects and recommend mitigation strategies.
• - Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• - Maintain accurate project records, including contracts, permits, and progress reports
