Job summary

SURBANA JURONG CONSULTANTS PTE. LTD. is seeking a Senior Coastal & Geotechnical Engineer to lead design reviews, project management, and coordination of coastal infrastructure projects (quay walls, ports, jetties, revetments, land reclamation).

You will mentor junior engineers, supervise fieldwork, prepare tender documents, manage contracts, and ensure compliance with Eurocodes and authority submissions, delivering technical reports and ground-improvement proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering approved by PEB Singapore.
• Preferably a registered Professional Engineer (Geo) with PEB.
• 8+ years of design and project management experience in consultancy for geotechnical, infrastructure, marine, and coastal works.
• Experience in contract and subcontract administration.
• Proficient in PLAXIS, GeoStudio, STAAD.Pro, Prokon, ETABS.
• Familiar with Eurocodes and authority submission procedures.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Self-motivated, disciplined, team-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Coastal & Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. This role involves the design review, project management, and coordination of geotechnical and civil engineering aspects for local and international coastal infrastructure projects, including quay walls, ports, jetties, revetments, and land reclamation works.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and assess geotechnical and C&S designs for coastal infrastructure projects (e.g., quay walls, ports, jetties, revetments, land reclamation).
• Assist Project Leads in site investigation reviews, design evaluations, and technical documentation.
• Prepare tender documents, technical specifications, and manage both main and subcontracts.
• Lead and support design development, site supervision, and stakeholder coordination.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and manage authority submissions.
• Prepare technical reports, risk assessments, and ground improvement proposals.
• Mentor junior engineers and support internal coordination meetings and workshops.
• Contribute to tender submissions and participate in departmental activities and events.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) Singapore.
• Preferably a registered Professional Engineer (Geo) with PEB.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant design and project management experience in consultancy, with emphasis on geotechnical, infrastructure, marine, and coastal engineering.
• Proven experience in contract and subcontract administration.
• Proficient in engineering software such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio, STAAD.Pro, Prokon, ETABS, etc.
• Strong familiarity with Eurocodes and relevant authority submission procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Self-motivated, disciplined, resourceful, and capable of handling multiple tasks.
• Team-oriented with a proactive and collaborative approach.
