Job summary

AECOM is seeking a senior Geotechnical Engineer to develop geotechnical and structural elements for foundations, deep excavations, tunnelling and land reclamation under supervision. You will perform analyses, prepare reports, and coordinate with clients and authorities to support design development.

The role requires at least 8 years in geotechnical design, familiarity with local codes, and strong project management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant Geotechnical design experience.
• Familiar with numerical analysis of soil–structure interaction.
• Conversant with local codes and authority submission procedures.
• Excellent technical and project management skills.
• Familiar with Plaxis and Slope/W.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design geotechnical and structural elements for foundations, deep excavation, tunnelling and land reclamation under supervision.
• Perform geotechnical analysis, calculations and design assessments including ground improvement works, foundation design, ERSS and instrumentation.
• Prepare detailed design reports, calculations and technical drawings for preliminary and detailed studies.
• Conduct site surveys, monitoring and review instrumentation readings; manage risk assessments and feasibility studies.
• Liaise and coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, authorities and project stakeholders to support design development and authority submissions.
• Assist with client management, satisfaction and weekly reporting on work programmes and project progress.
