Job summary

AECOM is seeking a senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead design and execution of major civil projects, including land reclamation and coastal infrastructure in Singapore. You will develop investigation programs, coordinate with clients and regulators, and mentor a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires 7–10 years in geotechnical engineering, a PE license or equivalent, and strong skills in PLAXIS, GeoStudio, AutoCAD or Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (Master's preferred).
• PE license or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
• 7–10 years of geotechnical engineering experience, focusing on design and project management.
• Proven track record delivering large reclamation or coastal infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in PLAXIS, GeoStudio, AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar tools.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the geotechnical design and execution of civil projects including land reclamation and coastal infrastructure.
• Develop and review geotechnical investigation programs and site characterisation.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors and regulators to align project goals.
• Prepare and review engineering designs, drawings and specs.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with local and international standards and regulations.
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
• Provide technical guidance and resolve complex engineering challenges.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Oversee construction activities to ensure design adherence and quality.
• Perform site visits, inspections and audits; resolve construction issues.
• Integrate sustainable practices and innovative solutions into designs.
• Evaluate environmental impact and mitigation strategies.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation for stakeholders.
