Job summary

Fugro-Geoteam AS seeks a Data Scientist – Laboratory & Geo-Data Analytics to build data-driven models and analytics workflows supporting the APAC geotechnical laboratory digitalisation and innovation roadmap.

The role focuses on QAQC automation, anomaly detection, predictive modelling, dashboard analytics, LIMS/LabPro data utilisation and AI-enabled ground intelligence workflows within a 3-year fixed term in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Geoscience, Physics or related field.
• Master’s degree in Data Science, ML, Engineering Analytics, Geoscience Analytics or related field preferred.
• 3–8 years of experience in data science, ML, statistical modelling or analytics.
• Hands-on experience with Python and common data science libraries.
• Experience with complex, incomplete, noisy or operational datasets would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop data science and machine learning models for laboratory, geotechnical and project datasets.
• Create predictive models, anomaly detection tools and statistical workflows.
• Analyse laboratory data for trends, QA/QC checks and data quality issues.
• Develop dashboards and analytics outputs for turnaround time, backlog and productivity.
• Integrate and structure laboratory datasets for analytics use.
• Validate models with SMEs and document methodology and limitations.
