Job summary

National Neuroscience Institute (NNI) within SingHealth is seeking a Research Associate II to join the Neuro-Oncology lab focusing on GBM translational research. You will support the SingHealth-Duke programme, designing experiments and analyzing data to advance therapeutic strategies.

The role requires expertise in cancer biology, cell cultures, animal handling and in vivo studies, with a strong publication record and collaborative mindset to work with the PI and team towards milestone delivery.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in biomedical science or equivalent.
Prior experience in laboratory cancer research.
Animal handling experience preferred (RCULA certified).
Experience with culture, molecular biology and real-time PCR.
Knowledge of flow cytometry, Western blot, IHC/IF.
Proficiency in Python or R and bioinformatics tools.
Demonstrated scientific publications.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Detail-oriented and team player.

Responsibilities

Independently design, troubleshoot and execute molecular biology, cell biology and biochemical experiments
Establish and optimise functional cell-based assays
Conduct in vivo studies using orthotopic GBM mouse models
Document, analyse and present data clearly and logically
Ensure adherence to ethical, biosafety and institutional guidelines
Work closely with PI and research team to achieve project milestones
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein
