Job summary

The Neuro-Oncology Research Laboratory at National Neuroscience Institute, Singapore seeks a Research Fellow to advance GBM translational research through cell culture, cancer models and multi-omic analyses.

You will design experiments, manage in vivo studies, analyze data, and contribute to manuscripts while adhering to biosafety guidelines. This role offers collaboration with leading scientists and access to cutting-edge resources within the institute.

Qualifications

• PhD in biomedical science, life sciences or equivalent.
• Prior experience in laboratory cancer research.
• Experience working with animal models (RCULA certification) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently design, troubleshoot and execute molecular biology, cell biology and biochemical experiments.
• Establish and optimise functional cell-based assays.
• Conduct in vivo studies using orthotopic GBM mouse models.
• Proactively identify research opportunities and troubleshoot experimental challenges.
• Maintain accurate records, analyse data rigorously and communicate findings in meetings.
• Prepare manuscripts and research reports for submission.
• Ensure adherence to ethical, biosafety and institutional guidelines.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
