Job summary

The Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) is a policy think-tank at the National University of Singapore. IPS seeks a Manager (Development) to lead fundraising initiatives, strengthen donor relationships, and cultivate new donors through programmes and flagship events.

The role requires developing persuasive proposals and managing donor portfolios within a university-affiliated think-tank. You will collaborate with leadership and research staff to advance IPS priorities, engaging corporate partners

Qualifications

• At least 4–6 years of relevant fundraising or advancement experience.
• Proven track record in securing gifts and managing donor portfolios.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to develop persuasive proposals.
• Confident in representing the Institute to donors and partners.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with ability to work independently and in teams.
• Strategic, analytical, results-driven and meticulous in administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support the management and execution of IPS fundraising strategy.
• Identify, cultivate, solicit and steward gifts to advance IPS priorities.
• Manage a portfolio of IPS donors and prospects to hit individual and team targets.
• Collaborate with leadership and researchers to develop tailored cultivation plans and compelling proposals.
• Build a donor pipeline through prospect research and qualification.
• Support donor engagement and IPS events, including the Corporate Associates Programme.
• Drive fundraising through IPS research projects, flagship events like Singapore Perspectives, and special projects.
• Coordinate with internal teams on gift administration, database management and governance.
• Assist with copy-editing and distribution of donor communications and reports.
• Support IPS-wide events and related ad hoc tasks.
