Job summary

The Institute of Policy Studies (IPS), part of the National University of Singapore, is recruiting two Executives/Senior Executives on a two-year contract to join its Events team. The team coordinates IPS events that communicate research findings to the public in Singapore.

Key responsibilities include coordinating conferences, managing budgets, liaising with speakers and partners, booking venues, handling registrations, preparing materials, and evaluating events for on-site, virtual, or hybrid

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
• Two years of professional experience in event management preferred; fresh graduates encouraged.
• Strong interpersonal, written and spoken English; ability to work under pressure.
• Methodical, organized, and a good team player.
• Proficient in MS Office, MS Access, and event platforms (Pigeonhole, Qualtrics, LinkTree, Gevme).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate conferences and a wide range of events; ensure collaboration among management, researchers and staff for event success.
• Manage all aspects of event coordination: planning, budgeting, liaising with speakers/partners, booking venues, registrations, materials, secretariats, on-site/online oversight, post-event evaluations.
• Provide general administrative support: answer main line, maintain event database, and handle ad-hoc duties.
• Evaluate and recommend platforms for virtual, hybrid, and in-person events to stay at the forefront of industry developments.
