Job summary

MRI Software Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a capable software engineer to develop and maintain scalable web applications and backend APIs, collaborating with engineers, consultants, and customers to deliver high-quality software solutions and support continuous improvement.

The role focuses on building responsive web apps, RESTful APIs, and data interfaces, with emphasis on code quality, documentation, and timely delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in ASP.NET Framework 4.5 or .NET Core, C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL Server.
• Ability to solve problems logically and plan tasks effectively within deadlines.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills for clear documentation and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop web application prototypes and new technology products to meet project goals
• Build highly responsive and scalable web applications with clean, maintainable code
• Create fully functional web applications interfacing with backend databases
• Design and implement clear, testable backend RESTful/SOAP APIs connected to databases
• Resolve software defects to ensure accuracy, integrity, interoperability, and completeness of systems
• Develop automated tasks tailored to project requirements to improve efficiency
• Build interfaces to exchange data with third-party systems securely and reliably
• Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize system performance and user experience
• Prepare and deliver comprehensive software documentation for development and user support
• Provide timely updates and maintenance for existing web application projects
• Respond promptly to user inquiries and support requests to maintain customer satisfaction
• Collaborate with software engineers to coordinate development efforts and ensure consistent integration of components
• Work with consultants to craft user stories, assess feasibility, and build demonstration showcases
• Partner with consultants and senior engineers to develop test scenarios ensuring full system functionality before user acceptance testing
• Engage with customers and partners for knowledge transfer and collaborative problem-solving

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma or higher qualification in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
• Proficiency in ASP.NET Framework 4.5 or .NET Core, C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL Server
• Ability to solve problems logically and plan tasks effectively within deadlines
• Strong communication and technical writing skills for clear documentation and collaboration
• Capacity to work independently and in teams within a fast-paced environment
• Eagerness to learn new skills continuously and adapt on the job

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Familiarity with mobile application development using Xamarin
• Experience in backend API development with .NET technologies
• Domain knowledge in accounting, procurement, inventory management, leasing, computerized maintenance management, billing, resource booking, or Enterprise Resource Planning
