Job summary

DJDH Ramen Restaurant, a part of the WAGEWORTH Group, seeks a fresh graduate from culinary school to begin their kitchen career with direct guidance from the Chef-Owner. This entry-level role emphasizes hands-on training, strong cleanliness, and a commitment to food-safety from Day 1.

No prior full-time kitchen experience is required, and candidates will progress through a structured development programme while supporting basic mise en place and ramen preparation tasks.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduate from a recognised culinary school or programme.
• Culinary certificate, Nitec, Higher Nitec, diploma or equivalent culinary qualification.
• Zero years of post-graduation or full-time commercial kitchen experience.
• WSQ Food Safety Course (FSC) Level 1 certification or higher.
• Willing to begin with foundational cleaning, sanitation and kitchen-discipline training.
• Coachable, disciplined, humble and able to follow instructions closely.

Responsibilities

• Receive direct culinary training and mentorship from the Chef-Owner.
• Follow a structured culinary development programme.
• Maintain high standards of personal hygiene, kitchen cleanliness and food-safety.
• Practice 'clean as you go' discipline on every shift.
• Assist with opening, closing and scheduled deep-cleaning duties.
• Prepare basic mise en place and ingredient preparation.
• Progressively learn broth, tare, aroma oil, toppings and ramen prep.
• Learn noodle timing, portioning, assembly and plating.
• Follow standard recipes and presentation requirements.
• Assist with stock-taking, inventory control and food-wastage reduction.
