FP&A Data Analyst — Fintech Analytics & Insights

Job summary

Tazapay is seeking a data analyst to join our FP&A team. You’ll turn transactional and operational data into reliable reporting, dashboards and models, helping budgeting and forecasting with automation where possible.

Ideal candidates are early-career, technically strong, and detail-oriented, able to partner with Finance and other teams to deliver actionable insights from large datasets in a fast-moving fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years in data analytics, BI, finance analytics or a similar analytical role. Relevant internship or hands-on project experience encouraged.
• Strong SQL skills, including joins, CTEs, aggregations, window functions and large transactional datasets.
• Strong Python skills for data analysis, transformation and automation, with experience using pandas.
• Good understanding of data modelling concepts, including dataset grain, keys, joins, transformations and data quality.
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills, with the ability to independently perform financial and operational analysis.
• Experience building dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, Looker or similar BI tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and validate outputs across data sources.
• Comfortable working with recurring financial and operational reporting, including trend analysis and management reporting.

Responsibilities

• Turn transactional and operational data into reliable reporting and actionable insights.
• Maintain and develop dashboards and data models; support budgeting and forecasting with automation.
• Collaborate with Finance and business teams to translate requirements into robust analytical solutions.
• Investigate data discrepancies, reconcile outputs, and ensure data quality across sources.
• Move beyond reporting to provide understanding of data generation and business drivers.
