Job summary

Charterhouse Partnership is seeking a Founding Engineer to build the core product from the ground up in a hands-on role. You will own architecture, backend, frontend and cloud infrastructure, and connect the LLM layer with solvers and a knowledge library.

The position demands turning prototypes into production-ready features and collaborating with AI researchers to ship scalable systems. You will design systems for long-running, compute-intensive workloads, while contributing across the stack

Qualifications

5–8 years of software engineering experience (or equivalent), with a CS or related degree.
Strong backend skills in Python plus solid REST API design.
Experience with cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure), containers, CI/CD and monitoring.
Practical frontend experience.
Track record of taking products from early stage to production, ideally as an early or sole engineer.

Responsibilities

Own product engineering end-to-end: architecture, backend, frontend and cloud infrastructure.
Build the APIs and services connecting the LLM layer, solvers and knowledge library.
Take features from 0→1 and ship them to production.
Partner with AI researchers to turn prototypes into reliable product features.
Design systems for asynchronous, long-running, compute-intensive workloads.
