Job summary

Tailscale in Singapore is seeking a seasoned Solutions Engineer to shape APAC technical execution, engage customers, and craft scalable engagement frameworks. You will partner with Account Executives to design and close opportunities, lead discovery workshops, deliver tailored product demos, and manage complex POCs while contributing code and integrations to the product.

Travel to regional and global events is expected.

Qualifications

• 4–5+ years in customer-facing SE/solutions roles in networking or enterprise cloud software.
• Proven ability to operate in early-stage, high-growth startups with ownership.
• Strong networking fundamentals and troubleshooting.
• Deep knowledge of zero-trust networking, secure connectivity, and IAM integrations.
• Experience designing or troubleshooting cloud infrastructure in AWS/GCP/Azure and containers.
• Ability linking architecture decisions to customer outcomes.
• Excellent communication across distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as pioneering technical voice for APAC to define regional execution strategies.
• Partner with AEs to identify, qualify, design, and close opportunities; manage regional pipeline.
• Lead discovery workshops, deliver tailored demos, and manage technical POCs.
• Engage in R&D activities: write code, develop integrations, contribute fixes to product.
• Document field insights and regional product requirements to inform strategy.
• Build reusable demos, blueprints, whitepapers, and objection-handling docs.
• Collaborate with regional teams to ensure delivery and anchor Tailscale culture.
• Build partner relationships to drive measurable regional results.
