Job summary

Tailscale is seeking a Founding Solutions Engineer to partner with sales and accelerate APAC expansion from Singapore. You will co-own a regional book of business, drive multi-stakeholder deals, and design robust solution architectures.

This role requires deep networking and zero-trust expertise, hands-on cloud and container skills, and a talent for translating technical details into customer value. Expect frequent collaboration with regional teams and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• 4-5+ years in customer-facing engineering roles supporting networking or security platforms.
• Founding regional hire experience or startup environment preferred.
• Ability to design and present complex technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional technical strategy for APAC and work with sales to close opportunities.
• Run discovery workshops, demos, and manage technical POCs.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve regional customers’ technical needs.
• Develop reusable demos, whitepapers, and architectural blueprints for region.
• Build partner relationships and ensure consistent service delivery in Singapore.
