Job summary

Mistral Ai is seeking an founding HR Operations Manager for APAC to establish scalable HR infrastructure, oversee payroll, onboarding, and multi-country compliance. You will collaborate with stakeholders to optimize employee lifecycle processes and ensure regulatory adherence across markets.

This role can be relocated to Singapore, Australia, Japan or Korea, supporting growth while building compliant, efficient HR systems and vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• 8–15 years HR experience in high-growth or startup environments.
• Deep expertise in Singapore labor law with APAC exposure.
• Experience handling Employer of Record (EoR) frameworks.
• Hands-on with HR technology including HRIS and payroll software.
• Strong communication and problem-solving in a service-focused role.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute monthly payroll for APAC employees and EoR staff.
• Oversee onboarding, contracts, labor amendments, and HRIS records.
• Resolve daily employee inquiries and coordinate international visas.
• Lead HR expansion when entering new countries with local benefits.
• Audit vendors, benchmark payroll providers, and automate workflows.
• Implement procedures aligning with local labor regulations.
