Job summary

Squirro is seeking a Forward Deployment Engineer to work directly with enterprise customers across Singapore and APAC, implementing AI-powered search, RAG, and insights solutions. You’ll translate complex data requirements into production-ready deployments, collaborating with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Delivery to unlock value from structured and unstructured data.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, Technical Consultant, or similar.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and/or JavaScript and software development best practices.
• Experience with structured and unstructured data, data ingestion, transformation, and integration.
• Experience with enterprise search technologies such as Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, or similar platforms.
• Practical understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, and AI integration patterns.
• Experience designing, building, or deploying LLM-powered chat or search applications.
• Experience working with REST APIs, backend integrations, and third-party systems.
• Familiarity with Linux environments and production troubleshooting.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, as well as hybrid or on-premise environments.
• Strong communication and consulting skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to independently manage multiple customer engagements and technical workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Client Engagement & Solution Delivery: Work directly with enterprise customers throughout discovery, implementation, deployment, and ongoing support.
• RAG & Enterprise Search Implementation: Configure and optimize Squirro’s AI-powered search and RAG platform.
• Data Integration: Design and implement ingestion and integration pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• Platform Customization & Development: Build custom components, integrations, and extensions using Python and JavaScript.
• GenAI & Chat Applications: Develop and customize LLM-powered applications and chat experiences, including retrieval workflows.
• Search Optimization: Configure and customize enterprise search capabilities including Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.
• Knowledge & AI Solutions: Apply Knowledge Graphs, LLMs, NLP, and ML to improve search and insight generation.
• Infrastructure & Deployment: Support deployments across Linux, cloud, hybrid, and on-premise environments.
• Technical Support & Enablement: Troubleshoot customer environments and provide training.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Product and Engineering teams to communicate customer feedback.
