Job summary

FUJI OIL (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. is seeking a development-focused professional to create and optimize food product formulations, support scale-up and commercialization, and ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards in a collaborative R&D setting.

The role involves conducting trials from benchtop to plant-scale, evaluating ingredients, and preparing documentation such as specifications and BOMs. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential for successful product launches.

Qualifications

• Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related discipline.
• 1–3 years in food product development or R&D.
• Experience with formulation, reformulation, pilot trials and scale-up.
• Knowledge of food ingredients and processing techniques.
• Familiarity with GMP, HACCP and food safety requirements.
• Knowledge of regulatory labeling requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize food product formulations based on product specs.
• Conduct lab trials, benchtop experiments, and pilot-scale trials.
• Lead scale-up and commercialization from development to production.
• Execute reformulation and product improvements for quality and cost.
• Evaluate ingredient functionality for various applications.
• Collaborate with Production, QA, Procurement, and other departments.
• Prepare technical documentation including specs, formulations and BOM.
• Support packaging artwork, ingredient declarations, and labeling reviews.
• Conduct feasibility assessments for new products and processes.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP and company standards.
• Perform additional R&D duties as needed.
