About the role
Keeping premises safe, clean and working. You'll do inspections, minor repairs and maintenance, and supervise contractors on building systems.
What you'll do
- Perform preventive maintenance and regular inspections of installations, fittings, equipment and meeting facilities
- Handle minor building, mechanical and electrical repairs and handyman work
- Respond to service requests and fix faults found during routine checks
- Carry out daily, weekly and monthly inspections of key facilities and critical areas
- Supervise contractors on building maintenance, M&E, cleaning, horticulture and pest control, including work on UPS, generators, fire alarm, sprinkler, clean agent systems and HV/LV switchboards
- Take water and electricity meter readings and report abnormal consumption
- Support fire safety, emergency response and business continuity arrangements
- Work with AV and cleaning contractors to set up meeting venues
- Maintain maintenance and breakdown records, and submit daily logs, weekly status reports and monthly summaries
What we're looking for
- NITEC or Higher NITEC in Facility Management, Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, M&E Services, Building Services or equivalent
- At least 3 years of FM or building maintenance experience, including preventive and corrective maintenance and minor repairs
- Practical knowledge of M&E, lighting, plumbing, air-conditioning and general building maintenance
- Familiarity with WSH, permit-to-work, PPE and fire safety practices
- Able to record meter readings, spot abnormal usage and write clear reports
- Comfortable with Word, Excel, email and CMMS
- Willing to support after-hours call-back as required
- An advantage: experience with critical building systems (UPS, generators, fire systems, switchboards, lifts), or certifications such as LEW, SCEM (Associate), Green Mark FM, WSH Coordinator or Fire Safety Manager
