Job summary

Safran Landing Systems in Singapore seeks a Flow Manager to mobilize resources across the value stream, driving Lean principles from landing gear disassembly to pre-kitting stages. You will lead cross-functional teams to assure on-time delivery, quality, and continuous improvement aligned with policy deployment.

The role requires a strong background in Lean, HSE, and problem-solving tools, plus the ability to mentor workshop staff and implement preventive actions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in engineering with at least 5 years of people management experience
  • Understanding of the MRO business environment and its commercial drivers & customer need
  • In-depth knowledge of Lean principles tools and improvement techniques
  • Value-added improvement track record
  • Strong commercial acumen and business awareness

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Value Stream Manager and Distribution Centre Manager to ensure on-time delivery & quality in a Lean manner using Policy Deployment for continuous improvement
  • Mobilize resources from various teams pertaining to the repair/overhaul of landing gears & related components
  • Champion Lean Sigma practices, HSE, Ergonomics, standardizing best practices in the Value Stream in line with Group policies
  • Manage cost, OEE, working capital and on-time delivery of plan
  • Provide leadership in ETQ, 8D problem solving, and Lean-Sigma tools to identify root cause and preventive actions in quality escapes
  • Provide technical leadership & guidance to direct reports and workshop personnel to ensure work meets quality & air-worthiness directives
  • Analyze & plan: be decisive and rapidly evaluate information to formulate new plans
  • Foster innovation and change, manage risks, and implement change initiatives
  • Introduce prevention programs to improve HSE and ensure team participation in improvement objectives
  • Build a strong, diverse team through mentoring and empowerment
  • Balance customer, employee needs with financial results focus
  • Create energy and commitment based on company values

Job description

The Flow Manager is responsible for mobilizing resources effectively for smooth flow throughout the Value Stream in line with Lean principles, while ensuring a ‘hands-on’ approach from landing gear disassembly to before kitting stations.

Responsibilities
  • :Collaborating with Value Stream Manager and the Distribution Centre Manager to ensure on-time delivery & quality in a Lean manner using Policy Deployment for continuous improvement
  • .Mobilize resources from various teams pertaining to the repair/overhaul of landing gears & related components
  • .To champion initiatives in Lean Sigma practices, HSE, Ergonomics, standardizing best practices in the Value Stream in compliance with Group-level policies
  • .Effective management of cost, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), optimized working capital and on-time delivery of plan
  • .Provide leadership in System Corrective Action Request (ETQ), Eight Disciplines (8D) problem solving, and Lean-Sigma tools application to identify root cause & implement preventive action in quality escapes
  • .Provide technical leadership & guidance to his direct reports & work-shop personnel to ensure all work meets quality & air-worthiness directives requirements
  • .Analysis & Planning: Be decisive & able to rapidly evaluate & analyze information to formulate new plans
  • .Innovation & Change: Be innovative and able to take mitigated risks. Capable of fostering a culture of innovation & creativity and be able to manage & implement change
  • .Implement prevention programs within their activities, ensuring their team members remain informed and play an active role in contributing to HSE development, and seeing that all actions taken help to achieve improvement objectives
