Job summary

Talent First in Singapore seeks an experienced Head of Manufacturing to lead manufacturing operations, teams, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will drive safety, quality, delivery and cost targets while coordinating with Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain.

The role requires Lean, 5S, Kaizen and strong leadership, with budgeting, resource planning and ERP/SAP/MRP familiarity. You will mentor staff and push data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing or related discipline.
• Experience in valve manufacturing, valve repair or related industrial operations.
• Experience in budgeting, cost control and resource planning.
• Familiarity with ERP/SAP and MRP systems.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen and continuous improvement practices.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage operational teams to achieve safety, quality, productivity, delivery and cost targets.
• Plan manpower, resources, budgets and operational priorities to meet business requirements.
• Manage departmental budgets and drive effective cost control.
• Oversee recruitment, training, performance reviews and development of team members.
• Identify and resolve operational and technical issues to minimize production disruptions.
• Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S, Kaizen, Visual Management and Standardized Work.
• Monitor production performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and capacity.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and other departments to achieve operational objectives.
• Utilize ERP/SAP, Excel and reporting tools to monitor operational performance and support decision-making.
