Qualifications

• Hands-on floristry experience with solid design and arrangement techniques.
• Ability to create customized floral arrangements per themes, styles and customer specs.
• Strong knowledge of flower and foliage selection, conditioning, color coordination and presentation.
• Experience or willingness to undertake event setups, floral installations, plant displays or festive decorations.
• Strong creative ability with interest in developing new floral products, designs and concepts.
• Adept at translating creative ideas into well-presented, commercially viable arrangements.
• Basic understanding of costing and pricing for floral products is a plus.

Position: Florist

Prince’s Landscape is looking for a creative and skilled Florist to join our growing floral department. This is a hands-on role involving the creation of floral arrangements, customized floral designs, plant and floral displays, as well as event and festive installations.

Our flower shop undertakes a wide range of customized floral work on a daily basis, while continuously developing new products and concepts for our customers and online platforms. As we look to expand further into event floral services, the successful candidate will have opportunities to be involved in projects beyond day-to-day flower shop operations.

We are looking for someone who can bring strong floral design skills, creativity, and fresh ideas to the department, while contributing to the continued growth of our floral business.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and prepare floral arrangements including bouquets, hampers, grandstands, wreaths, table-top arrangements and other floral designs.

• Design and execute customized floral arrangements based on customer requirements, themes, color palettes and specifications.

• Develop new floral products, designs and concepts for retail and online platforms.

• Assist with the preparation and execution of corporate floral and plant displays.

• Support event and venue floral setups, including preparation, installation and dismantling of floral displays.

• Undertake festive and themed decorative projects, including Christmas tree decoration and installations.

• Apply appropriate floral techniques in flower selection, conditioning, arrangement, composition, colour coordination and presentation.

• Assist with sourcing and selecting suitable flowers, foliage and materials for different floral projects.

• Maintain the quality, freshness and presentation of flowers, plants and completed arrangements.

• Prepare product costing and assist with pricing of floral arrangements and new products.

• Take photographs of completed arrangements and new floral products for product listings and marketing purposes.

• Contribute creative ideas and design concepts to expand the company's floral product range.

• Support the development of the floral department, particularly as the business expands.

• Perform other floristry-related duties and project work as required.

Key Requirements

• Hands-on floristry experience with a good understanding of floral design and arrangement techniques.

• Ability to create customized floral arrangements according to different themes, styles, color schemes and customer specifications.

• Good knowledge of flower and foliage selection, conditioning, color coordination, composition and presentation.

• Experience in or willingness to undertake event setup, floral installations, plant displays or festive decorations.

• Strong creative ability with an interest in developing new floral products, designs and concepts.

• Able to translate creative ideas into practical, well-presented and commercially viable floral arrangements.

• Good attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency and quality in floral work.

• Basic knowledge of costing and pricing for floral products would be an advantage.

• Comfortable working in a hands-on environment, including event and off-site setups when required.

• Candidates with wedding, event, corporate floral or commercial display experience will have an added advantage.
