Job summary

Maersk in Singapore is seeking a Fleet Superintendent to lead fleet operations and maintenance of container vessels, with responsibility for safe, efficient and cost-effective performance. You will report to the Fleet Director and directly manage Captains and Chief Engineers, guiding teams across on-board and shore-based functions.

Qualifications

• Strong managerial skills with the ability to develop employees and lead cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across stakeholders.
• Experience in operations and maintenance from the maritime industry.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Captains and Chief Engineers assigned to your vessels.
• Ensure safety is a primary responsibility and drive a culture of high reliability.
• Oversee planned and unplanned maintenance, repairs and modifications within approved budgets.
• Coordinate inspections and dry-docking of vessels and ensure compliance with class, flag and international requirements.
• Monitor vessel performance and implement corrective actions; oversee budgets for maintenance and spares.
• Provide operational feedback to improve Maersk’s vessels and decarbonisation agenda.
