Job summary

Winning International Group Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a senior professional to lead fleet renewal and development initiatives, formulating plans and driving execution programs from concept to delivery.

You will interface commercially with shipyards, owners, financiers, and other partners, negotiate terms, oversee newbuilding and acquisitions, and coordinate legal, finance, and operations teams to align schedules, risk controls, and milestones.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a shipping-related field.
  • 10+ years with large-scale or leading shipping companies.
  • Familiar with newbuilding, sale and purchase, and chartering contracts and negotiations.
  • Strong English and Chinese business communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the Company’s fleet renewal and development strategy, formulate development plans, and drive the implementation of execution programmes.
  • Act as the Company’s commercial interface for fleet development-related matters, liaising with external partners including shipyards, shipowners, financial institutions, charterers, classification societies and key suppliers. Participate in commercial negotiations, clearly communicate the Company’s fleet development vision, and strike an effective balance between technical solutions and commercial terms.
  • Participate in second-hand vessel transactions and newbuilding projects, providing analytical support from commercial and operational perspectives, including newbuilding planning, feasibility studies, commercial risk control, as well as technical and compliance support, and coordinating related execution work.
  • Take part throughout the full project lifecycle—from initial concept to contract signing, for newbuilding, vessel acquisition, fleet renewal and optimisation projects; coordinate legal, finance, technical and operations teams to ensure alignment of commercial terms, risk control measures and delivery milestones, and to facilitate smooth project implementation.
  • Perform other ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Shipping Management, Naval Architecture, Shipbuilding Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience with large-scale or leading shipping companies; solid understanding of overall shipping operations and business processes; familiarity with newbuilding, sale and purchase, and chartering contracts and negotiation processes; proven track record in successful commercial negotiations and project execution.

  • Strong teamwork awareness and leadership capability; rigorous, pragmatic and efficient working style; high standards of integrity and self-discipline, with a good professional reputation in the industry.

  • Good business communication and written skills in both English and Chinese,as required for liaison with Chinese-speaking counterparts.
