Qualifications

• Strong attitude, communication and commitment to safety.

Job description

We are looking for energetic and disciplined Fitness Trainers who enjoy motivating others, conducting structured physical training and creating a safe and positive training environment. In this role, you will lead group fitness sessions based on established lesson plans, conduct physical fitness assessments such as the Individual Physical Proficiency Test (IPPT), and play an important part in ensuring training activities are carried out safely and professionally. Similar SJ Defence Services trainer positions also involve guiding users on the safe and proper use of exercise equipment and maintaining high standards within physical training facilities. What You'll Do

• Conduct group-level fitness training in accordance with established lesson plans.
• Conduct fitness assessments, including the Individual Physical Proficiency Test (IPPT).
• Implement, manage and enforce stipulated rules, regulations and safety measures.
• Identify and report training equipment defects, facility issues and physical or potential hazards.
• Perform risk assessments and enforce appropriate safety measures during training activities.
• Assist in organising fitness-related events and programmes.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• Relevant fitness trainer certification is preferred.
• Valid CPR/AED and Standard First-Aid certification is preferred.
• Completed Full-Time National Service, if eligible.
• Passed IPPT, if eligible.
• Able to meet the required physical standards: BMI below 25 for professional image projection; or below 25% body fat, measured using a skin-fold or impedance test, where the BMI requirement is not met.
• A positive attitude, good communication skills and a strong commitment to fitness and safety.
