Job summary

APP ENGINEERING PTE LTD is seeking a Project Manager to lead and deliver fire protection projects in Singapore. You will oversee design, planning, execution, and ensure compliance with SS fire codes, SCDF regulations, and project budget constraints.

Responsibilities include coordinating with consultants, main contractors, and clients, supervising site engineers, preparing shop drawings and submissions, and driving timely progress while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in fire protection systems design & execution.
• Experience in M&E contracting projects.
• Proficient with AutoCAD / Revit MEP and hydraulic calculation tools.
• Knowledge of SS codes and SCDF standards.
• Hands-on site testing and commissioning of fire protection systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design and calculations for sprinkler, hydrant, hose reel, and fire pump systems.
• Design layouts, schematics, and submissions per Singapore Standard fire codes and SCDF regulations.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and equipment sizing using HFC or equivalent.
• Prepare and submit shop drawings and O&M submissions.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, main contractors, and other M&E disciplines.
• Supervise a small team of engineers or site supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and authority requirements.
• Monitor construction progress and submit progress and variation claims.
• Attend site meetings with developers, architects, consultants and main contractors.
• Lead site communications with Site Engineers and Supervisors.
• Control material and labour costs.
