Checkout.com in Singapore is seeking a skilled Legal Counsel to join our expanding Legal team. You will advise on regulatory and product matters, ensuring compliance with payments laws across multiple jurisdictions as we scale.

You’ll interact with regulators, shape licensing strategies, and support product launches and market expansion with pragmatic, commercially focused guidance. A fast-paced fintech environment awaits, with opportunities to influence policy and risk management.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with 3-7 PQE, in-house or private practice.
• Strong understanding of payments ecosystem and licensing strategies.
• Proven ability to manage diverse workload and deadlines.
• Comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced fintech environment.
• Able to work autonomously and with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Support regulators relationships on license-related matters.
• Manage legal and regulatory strategy for launching products and services.
• Advise on payments regulatory matters across jurisdictions.
• Advise on group regulatory change projects.
• Advise on market expansion and licensing opportunities.
• Advise on new regulatory developments affecting operations, products and contracts.
