Job Description

The Financial Operations Associate provides operational and business support for both Disney Cruise Line and Adventures & Expeditions lines of business. This role collaborates with, advises and guides key internal and external business partners to ensure prompt resolution of financial inquiries, including escalations from Shoreside Guest Services and other key stakeholders to facilitate guest recovery. This role serves as subject matter expert for financial inquiries for key internal and external business partners.

You Will
  • Act as a subject matter expert on pre‑arrival and post departure financial escalations relating to Guest and Travel Agent reservations
  • Oversee/action incoming wire/check/credit card payments
  • Analyze, reconcile, and action various daily and weekly reports to ensure compliance with company policy
  • Apply alternative funding methods to DCL and AbD bookings, such as credits, coupons, and intracompany GL payments
  • Reconcile corporate and crew airfare against workflow/travel requests
  • Reconcile and initiate payment for airline, corporate, crew, and guest hotels invoices
  • Process month end journal entries
  • Create/maintain Travel Agency accounts to ensure compliance with IRS guidelines
  • Process post departure charges/refunds in compliance with company policy
  • Reconcile post departure voyage reports
  • Provide guidance and expertise to internal/external partners to assist in interpreting financial transactions
  • Participate in user testing during systems implementations and upgrades
  • Undertake other assigned projects and duties by leadership
You Will Have

2+ yrs. financial or accounting operations experience, or office management experience performing like duties. Displays robust organizational and decision‑making skills, plus meticulous attention to detail. Possesses exceptional analytical and problem‑solving abilities while consistently meeting deadlines and balancing multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment. Exhibits clear and concise verbal and written communication, comfortable engaging with individuals at all organizational levels. Demonstrated strong partnership and networking skills with the ability to manage conflict resolution. Capable of working proactively, independently, and collaboratively as a strategic team partner with strong follow‑through. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to learn new software. Capable of adapting to change management initiatives and system upgrades. Proactively seeks out opportunities for process improvements and the streamlining of manual functions. Proven capacity to be resourceful, make decisive decisions, maintain confidence under pressure, and thrive in a dynamic, high‑growth environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic understanding of accounting fundamentals, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and SOX (Sarbanes‑Oxley Act) compliance
  • Proficient in SAP, Seaware, Microsoft Office Suite, Business Objects, Seaware
  • Knowledge of Disney Cruise Line and Adventures and Expeditions policies and procedures
Required Education
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
Preferred Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (i.e. Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics)
