Job summary

The International Baccalaureate in Singapore is seeking a Financial Accounting Manager to lead the General Ledger team, coordinating month-end close, year-end close, reconciliations and statutory reporting across eight branches and subsidiaries.

Reporting to the Head of Accounting and Tax, you will drive technical accounting analyses, audit delivery, controls and continuous improvement while coaching a team of financial accountants in a hybrid 2-day office model.

Responsibilities

• Manage the monthly close and year-end close within set timetables.
• Ensure journal entries, reconciliations and analyses are accurate and reviewed.
• Prepare and review group, subsidiary and branch financial statements per IFRS and local requirements.
• Coordinate statutory reporting across eight branches and subsidiaries.
• Prepare technical accounting analyses and guidance on non-routine matters.
• Manage day-to-day relationships with audit teams and external auditors.
• Monitor compliance with financial controls and policies; identify and implement improvements.
• Lead and coach the Financial Accounting team, setting priorities and workload.
• Drive continuous improvements across close, reconciliation, reporting and audits, including automation.
