Job summary

The International Baccalaureate Organization in Singapore is seeking a Financial Accounting Manager to lead the General Ledger team and oversee month-end and year-end close processes. You will ensure accurate journal entries, reconciliations, and IFRS reporting across eight branches and subsidiaries.

You will manage audit deliveries, develop technical accounting analyses, and drive improvements to accounting controls and processes in a complex multinational setting.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with 5-7 years post-qualification experience.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and experience in financial reporting.
• Experience in international, multinational or multi-entity organization is desirable.
• Experience managing a financial accounting or reporting team.
• Professional services or external audit firm experience is advantageous.
• Proven track record delivering short month-end close and statutory reporting and external audit.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proactive and organized, with ability to manage competing priorities under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead three-business-day monthly close and the year-end close to deadlines.
• Ensure journal entries, reconciliations and analyses are accurate.
• Prepare IFRS-based group, subsidiary and branch financial statements.
• Coordinate statutory reporting across eight branches and subsidiaries.
• Deliver technical accounting analysis for non-routine matters.
• Manage day-to-day relationships with internal and external auditors.
• Monitor financial controls and drive process improvements.
• Coach and develop the Financial Accountants team.
• Identify control weaknesses and implement improvements.
