Job summary

The Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment (MSE) invites a capable finance professional to join the Finance Transformation team. You will oversee projects across Fixed Assets, Payments, Collections and Budget, turning operational challenges into practical improvements with process redesign and data analytics.

You will combine finance knowledge with digital tools and change management to support better ways of working, boosting governance and efficiency across MSE’s finance functions.

Qualifications

• Recognised degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business, Data Analytics or related.
• Experience in finance operations, process improvement or transformation is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of finance processes, governance, and controls.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong project coordination and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience with data visualization or automation tools (Power BI, Power Automate, RPA) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead finance transformation and process redesign projects across Fixed Assets, Payments, Collections and Budget.
• Develop process maps, future-state workflows, business requirements and implementation plans.
• Monitor progress, issues and outcomes, and provide updates to leadership.
• Develop dashboards and management reports to improve visibility and trends.
• Identify opportunities for automation and AI-enabled solutions with business users and technology teams.
