Job summary

Eaton in Singapore is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee financial and accounting activities across East Asia, drive month-end close, preliminary reviews, and continuous process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

The role partners with the commercial team to review project costing, monitor margins, champion digital tools (Power BI, SAP), manage Capex and transfer pricing reviews, and ensure SOX compliance and data integrity across the EA region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA or equivalent desirable.
• 10+ years in finance; audit firm experience preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; able to deal with stakeholders and ambiguity.
• Detail-oriented with data accuracy and rigor.
• Strong commercial acumen; review project costing proposals and provide financial insights for bidding/decision-making.
• Experience in SAP is a plus; proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Relevant experience in a similar role or industry; manage multiple tasks.
• Results-oriented; able to work under tight deadlines; high quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee EA financial and accounting activities; manage month-end close and preliminary reviews.
• Support EA controllers to improve processes; ensure compliance with Eaton policies, local regulations and SOX requirements.
• Utilize digital tools to streamline financial processes (Power BI, automate approvals) and maintain data integrity.
• Review project costing; monitor EA project margins; provide insights to drive profitability.
• Lead annual tack-on rate and transfer pricing reviews; oversee BSR reviews.
• Manage EA Capex requirements and spending against Forecast & Profit Plans.
• Familiar with SAP and its relation to business processes; support internal/external audits.
• Support ad hoc financial projects such as system upgrades and legal entity projects.
