Job summary

Sembcorp Utilities is looking for an Intern in Group Finance Process Excellence (AI & Automation) to support the AI and analytics enablement journey within finance. You will help design lightweight automation, build simple workflows with Power Automate, and assist in dashboarding with Power BI and Excel.

The role requires strong communication, problem-solving skills, and an interest in AI, automation and process improvement, with good English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Background in CS/IS/Data Analytics/Finance or equivalent.
• Strong interest in AI, automation, analytics, and process improvement.
• Hands-on familiarity with Power Automate and Power BI.
• Proficiency in Power Query, SharePoint Lists, or basic data modelling.
• Familiarity with Copilot Studio or agent-building concepts.
• Able to communicate clearly with non-technical finance users and convert requirements into structured steps, visuals or documentation.
• Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple follow-ups across stakeholders.
• Good written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Support users in AI, automation and analytics adoption in daily finance work.
• Design and build simple automation workflows using Power Automate with documentation.
• Support dashboards, reporting and basic data analyses with Power BI and Excel.
• Translate process pain points into practical solution ideas and user stories.
• Assist with Copilot enablement materials, prompts and training decks.
• Coordinate with finance stakeholders to gather requirements and track progress.
• Support testing, validation and issue tracking before rollout.
• Maintain clear solution documentation, governance and user instructions.
