Key Roles and Responsibilities
The intern will support the Group Finance Process Excellence (FPE) team in helping users advance their AI, automation and analytics journey. The role focuses on practical enablement: identifying user pain points, building lightweight solutions, improving adoption of Microsoft 365 / Power Platform capabilities, and preparing clear guides or materials that help finance users work more efficiently and consistently.
- Support users in exploring, adopting and scaling AI, automation and analytics use cases in daily finance work.
- Assist in designing and building simple automation workflows using Microsoft Power Automate, with appropriate documentation and handover notes.
- Support dashboarding, reporting and basic data analysis using Power BI, Excel and other Microsoft tools where relevant.
- Help translate process pain points into practical solution ideas, user stories, workflow steps or proof-of-concept builds.
- Assist with Copilot / AI enablement materials, such as prompt examples, user guides, training decks, adoption trackers and FAQs.
- Coordinate with finance stakeholders to gather requirements, track progress, follow up on open items and document key decisions.
- Support testing, user validation and issue tracking for automation or analytics solutions before wider rollout.
- Maintain clear documentation of solution logic, assumptions, limitations, governance considerations and user instructions.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Background in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Finance, Accountancy or equivalent
- Strong interest in AI, automation, data analytics, process improvement and practical problem-solving for business users
- Hands‑on familiarity with Microsoft Power Automate and Power BI is highly preferred
- Proficiency in Power Query, SharePoint Lists or basic data modelling would be advantageous
- Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot Studio or agent‑building concepts would be a bonus
- Able to communicate clearly with non-technical finance users and convert requirements into structured steps, visuals or documentation
- Detail‑oriented, organised and comfortable managing multiple follow-ups across stakeholders
- Good written and spoken English.
