Job summary

MORGAN MCKINLEY PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Finance & Operations Specialist to support financial reporting, client servicing, and operational activities within the insurance sector.

You will prepare management accounts, insurance accounting tasks, budgeting, regulatory reporting, and governance documentation, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain accuracy and drive efficiency.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
• Experience in insurance accounting, insurance or reinsurance operations, regulatory reporting or compliance within insurance or insurance broking, or client servicing/account management within insurance or insurance broking.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office to support financial and operational tasks.
• ACCA, CA, or equivalent professional qualifications are advantageous.
• Immediate availability or ability to start at short notice is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review management accounts, financial statements, reconciliations, and other financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Execute insurance-related accounting tasks, including claims accounting, treasury, and investment reconciliations, to support operational integrity
• Coordinate client servicing activities to ensure timely delivery of financial and operational requirements and enhance client satisfaction
• Liaise effectively with internal teams, insurance brokers, auditors, actuaries, tax advisers, and other external stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations
• Assist with regulatory and statutory reporting in compliance with MAS and ACRA requirements to maintain regulatory adherence
• Support budgeting processes, conduct financial analysis, and prepare management reports to inform decision-making
• Coordinate board meetings by preparing supporting materials and maintaining corporate governance documentation to uphold governance standards
• Contribute to process improvements and execute ad hoc operational projects to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline
• Relevant professional experience in insurance accounting, insurance or reinsurance operations, regulatory reporting or compliance within insurance or insurance broking, or client servicing/account management within insurance or insurance broking
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office to support financial and operational tasksAbility to work independently, manage deadlines, and adapt quickly to new responsibilities
• ACCA, CA, or equivalent professional qualifications are advantageous
• Experience in captive insurance management is a plus but not essential
• Immediate availability or ability to start at short notice is preferred

Other Information

• This is an initial three-month contract to support an interim business requirement
• Contract extension is subject to business needs and not guaranteed
