Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Finance Manager for the Southeast Asia region to consolidate and report sales, P&L, and balance sheet results across multiple SEA markets. You will partner with senior leaders, support day-to-day finance operations, and ensure compliance with corporate policies.

You will drive financial analysis, develop business plans, and provide value-added insights to influence management decisions, while leading a small team and ensuring accurate, timely reporting.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 15+ years of business controlling experience in a multinational, customer-oriented environment (experience in FP&A is highly advantageous).
  • Excellent analytical/problem solving skills and critical thinking abilities.
  • Strong can-do attitude: Innovative and collaborative with a passion for quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Consolidate/report sales, P&L and balance sheet (actuals/forecasts) for SEA markets.
  • Partner with CM/GM as Finance business partner and support day-to-day operations.
  • Ensure month-end/year-end closings with SSO/CFS teams and manage credit control and payments.
  • Analyze cash conversion cycle and credit management across SEA markets.
  • Oversee distributor management: renewals, inventory, credit/margin claims, etc.
  • Report end-customer sales across SEA markets and provide decision-support analytics.
  • Develop solid financial plans and analysis to support business commitments.
  • Ensure compliance with Abbott policies and applicable laws in all markets.
  • Mentor and develop 2 direct reports; provide ad hoc support to meet initiatives.

The Opportunity

As the Finance Manager, SEA, you will be responsible for consolidating and reporting sales, P&L, and balance sheet results (actuals and forecasts) across Southeast Asia. You will partner closely with business leaders, support day-to-day finance operations, provide financial reporting and analysis, and ensure compliance with corporate financial policies and procedures.

What You’ll Do
  • Consolidate/Report for Sales and P&L and Balance Sheet (actual and forecast) for ID SEA : (Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam) for Actual, RLBE/Forecast and Confirmation.
  • Working closely with CM/GM as a strong Finance business partners and supports day to day business operations issues.
  • Ensure completion of month end/year end closing with SSO / CFS team. Work along closely with SSO / CFS team on actual reporting, credit control, payment and all operations matters.
  • Consolidate/Report/Monitor Cash Conversion Cycle, and Credit Management for SEA markets
  • Distributors management : renewal/appointment process, inventory management, credit/margin claims processes, etc.
  • Reporting and tracking of end-customer sales : (primary, secondary, inventory) across SEA markets
  • Financial Analysis / Decision Support – Consolidate to understand the key drivers of profitability issues relating to any given Plan or RLBE cycle.
  • Provide meaningful, value-added analytics to influence and counsel Senior Management on potential opportunities and / or exposures. Drive development and preparation of solid financial business plans (and underlying analysis) to ensure the affiliate delivers its financial commitments
  • Ensures appropriate integrity and reasonableness of financial data as well as compliance with Corporate/Division financial policies and procedures, and understanding of GAAP
  • Responsible for implementation and adherence to Abbott accounting policies and procedures (CFMs)
  • Responsible and to ensure Global Compliance with all applicable customs, antiboycott, embargo, and trade control laws, rules and regulations in countries where Abbott imports or exports goods, software, or technology according to Abbott’s Code of Conduct. Create a sustainable infrastructure and environment that enables growth
  • Working closely to review/provide Sales Incentive Calculation to local HR
  • Responsible for 2 direct reports talent development
  • Provide ad hoc support and solutions to meet business initiatives, planning and reporting requirements
Requirements
