Job summary

Ackcio is seeking a hands-on finance professional to run AR, AP, accounting and management reporting as the sole finance lead. You will work directly with the CEO and COO, using AI to automate routine tasks and deliver clear numbers for margins and cash planning.

With 3–6 years of experience, you will own the books in Xero, manage multi-currency transactions (USD/SGD), and drive weekly cash and margin alerts while building SOPs and supporting investor reporting.

Qualifications

• Hands-on accounting experience in a small to mid-size business.
• Experience closing books end-to-end with multi-currency transactions.
• Ability to structure finance processes and SOPs.
• Familiarity with GST/compliance and audits.

Responsibilities

• Manage AR, AP, month-end close and reporting.

The Role

This is a solo finance role: you are the whole finance team. AR, AP, accounting and management reporting all sit with you, and you will work directly with our CEO and COO. It suits someone with 3 to 6 years of experience who is ready to step up and run finance end to end. You will do the hands‑on work yourself, with AI taking much of the routine load. Your real value is the finance output: flagging early when something turns amber, putting SOPs in place to keep things in check, and turning our books into clear numbers we can act on, from product margins to cash planning. This is not a Financial Controller or CFO role.

What You'll Own

• Bookkeeping, bank reconciliations and month-end close in Xero
• Restructure our Xero setup so the numbers are trustworthy
• Multi-currency collections (USD and SGD) and overdue chasing
• Supplier, contract manufacturer and logistics payments, often in advance
• Clean cut-off: stock received versus supplier invoices
• Monthly management accounts: P\&L, balance sheet and cash flow
• Early warnings: weekly cash, margin and overdue flags
• True margin by product, not just a company P\&L
• 13-week cash view for large, milestone-paid projects
• Support for board and investor reporting packs
• Payroll, GST, grant claims, annual audit and statutory filings
• Written SOPs for every cash-in and cash-out step

AI-Native (Must-Have)

• You already use AI daily in your finance work
• AI drafts reports and commentary; you review and finalise
• AI-assisted reconciliation, matching and anomaly checks
• Automations linking Xero, Salesforce, banks and spreadsheets
• Xero data clean enough to feed our live dashboards
• Where Xero falls short, you build the workaround

What You Bring

• 3 to 6 years of hands‑on accounting or finance experience
• Has run finance solo, or been the main finance person, in an SME or startup
• Strong Xero user, confident with spreadsheets
• Full-cycle close, multi-currency and GST experience
• Management reports that founders actually use
• ACCA, CPA, CA or accounting degree preferred

Preferred

• Manufacturing, hardware or product company background
• Inventory, BOM and component costing experience

Bonus Points

• Knows the trade-offs of FIFO, average and standard costing
• Mapping stock, components and COGS cleanly into Xero
• Zapier, Make or light scripting skills
