Job summary

Honeywell is seeking a senior finance professional to partner with regional leadership in ASEAN and East Asia. You will manage end-to-end P&L for projects and services, drive budgeting, forecasting and month-end close, and lead financial analysis to support strategic decisions.

Responsibilities include ensuring revenue/margin accounting, working capital optimization, and cross-functional collaboration with operations.

Qualifications

  • CPA or equivalent or bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting, or related field
  • 8+ years in multinational/matrix reporting set up, preferably in similar industries
  • Experience in handling P&L of a project or services related business with revenue and margin accounting
  • Proficient in SAP, Hyperion, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver complex solutions without supervision
  • Works well under pressure with a sense of urgency and tight deadlines
  • Strong business acumen and cross-functional collaboration
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to present data clearly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; working knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance

Responsibilities

  • Partner region General Manager and Region Finance Director in the creation and execution of ASEAN and East Asia business strategy for the Projects and services business
  • Drive the annual budget (AOP), weekly short-term outlook (SRO) and forecast process
  • Ensure end-to-end P&L management of project and services businesses, with revenue and margin accounting
  • Lead month-end close, financial reporting, forecasting and variance analysis
  • Drive weekly/monthly reporting and reviews with regional/global stakeholders
  • Review revenue/margin with operations; monitor backlog and order pipeline against targets
  • Drive actions to improve working capital and maximize billing/collections
  • Participate in reviews of new bids, including financial terms and margin adequacy
  • Ensure compliance with revenue/margin accounting policies and drive process improvements

Be part of a team of commercial finance professionals to make finance decisions with one of Honeywell businesses. You will play a part and lead others in supporting financial landscape, speed, quality and cost efficiency thru budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, Operational drive and reporting. You will play a role in managing financial performance and implementing finance strategies along with partnering business leaders to achieve committed business performance. You will be responsible for controls, ensuring P&L/BS compliance and overseeing cash and working capital Optimisation.

Key Responsibilities:

Partners region General Manager and Region Finance Director in the creation and execution of ASEAN and East Asia (AEA) business strategy for the Projects and services business and driving financial and operational outcomes

Drive the annual budget (AOP), Weekly Short-term outlook/Pulse (SRO) and Forecast (mid-year check points on plan) process for the business

Ensuring strong financial partnership with Business to drive business/financial results (P&L + B/sheet) that includes end to end P&L management of the project business and overseeing of the services business with Revenue and Profitability Analysis, Robust tracking of Functional spend, Indirect spend, balance sheet reviews, etc.

Responsible to drive Month close process, financial reporting, forecasting, Variance analysis

Will need to drive weekly/monthly reporting and reviews with key stake holders – regional and global. Identify and highlight risk and opportunities.

Drive cadence to review Revenue and margin optimization with operations; Review order pipeline and plan/review backlog adequacy to meet targets

Drive actions around working capital improvement. Drive a strong cadence with the business on maximizing Billing and collections

Participate in reviews; feedback and approvals on new bids (Review and feedback on financial terms and margin adequacy)

Strong focus on Compliance and adherence to revenue/margin accounting/policies

Continuously drive and make process improvements

Must Have:
  • CPA or equivalent or bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting, or related field
  • 8+ years’ experience in a multi-national/Matrix reporting set up, preferably in similar industries
  • Experience in handling P&L of a Project or services related business (that involves revenue and margin accounting)
  • Proficient in SAP, Hyperion, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver complex solutions without supervision.

  • Good business Acumen, experience of working with operational/business and cross functional teams
  • Strong analytical & problems solving skills; Able to prepare and present complex data in a simple, understandable manner.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skill
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP, SOX Compliance
